Mr. Bertini graduated from Vanderbilt University and received his law degree from the University of Houston. He is Board Certified in Personal Injury Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. He is licensed by the Supreme Court of Texas, the United States District Courts for the Southern, Northern and Eastern Districts of Texas, and the United States Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals.

      He has handled cases through out the State of Texas in both State and Federal courts. He has also represented clients in administrative hearings, arbitrations and mediations. The types of cases he has handled include personal injury cases, maritime matters, professional malpractice, commercial litigation, real estate, residential and commercial construction and other general litigation matters. He has advised many businesses in the area of mechanics liens, business formation and contract negotiations.

      He is a frequent speaker. He has spoken to the Texas Dental Association, the Texas Association of Legal Assistants, the Houston Claims Association, the Louisiana Association of Defense Counsel and other organizations.

      He is a Fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation Past Director of the Galveston Bar Association and serves on the State Bar of Texas Grievance Committee.

      Mr. Bertini has been very active in civic and charitable organizations. He was appointed by two mayors of Galveston to serve on the Galveston Housing Authority and was elected its chairman in 2004. He is President of the Rotary Club of Galveston Island and was recently honored by the Club as a Paul Harris Fellow. He also served on the Board of Directors of the Knights of Momus; Galveston’s oldest and largest Mardi Gras Krewe and is its President. Other community service includes service on the Board of Directors of the Galveston Resource and Crisis Center, Executive Board of Galveston Chamber of Commerce, Chairman of the Board of the Galveston Community Development Corporation, service on the Mayor of Galveston’s Housing Task Force. Texas Department of Transportation - Bolivar Bridge Stakeholder Advisory Task Force.

      He has been a volunteer with the Boy Scouts, chairing their Friends of Scouting Campaign in 2001 and 2003 and as a volunteer with the Galveston Island Little League.
